This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) presents our privacy practices, so that you understand when and how your Personal Data (as defined below) is collected, used, disclosed, and protected. By using the website located at www.hawkers.com (“Website”), you hereby consent to this Policy and any updates to it.

1. YOUR INFORMATION AND HOW WE USE IT.

1.1 Collection and Use of Personal Data

In this Policy, we refer to any information that can uniquely identify an individual (including the information below) a “Personal Data”. This Policy sets out more information about what Personal Data we may collect and use and why. Our collection and use of data will be done for the purposes listed below (where applicable), and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, in particular the Personal Data Protection Act 2012. Note that the examples of Personal Data below are not exhaustive.

Personal Data may be collected when you access our Website, make inquiries, complete purchases, or sign up for our catalogues.

In general, HAWKERS uses Personal Data internally to:

1.2 Disclosure.

1.2.1 For Commercial Purposes.

We may share your Personal Data with our affiliated companies or other third-party entities (whether located in Singapore or overseas) ("Third Parties”), so that they can send you communications related to their products.

We may also share your Personal Data with Third Party Entities with whom HAWKERS is working for promotional purposes, so that they can send you communications regarding such promotions.

HAWKERS uses Personal Data to further its business. To do so, HAWKERS may share it with our staff and service providers that we engage to perform services in connection with the operation of our business. Examples include payment service providers, payment processing and authorisation providers, order fulfilment and shipping, marketing, public relations and promotional material distribution, surveys, sweepstakes and contest administration, evaluation of our Website, and data analysis.

HAWKERS does not otherwise share Personal Data for commercial purposes, unless you have consented, for example at the time of collection.

When we share Personal Data for commercial purposes, we do so only if the recipient undertakes to exercise care to safeguard the Personal Data equivalent to that which we exercise.

1.2.2 As Required by Law and For Protection.

HAWKERS may disclose Personal Data or aggregate information:

When HAWKERS in its discretion deems retention of Personal Data is no longer needed, or until you ask us to delete or destroy this Personal Data, or when the purposes set out above are no longer being served by the retention of Personal Data or when retention is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes (whichever is earlier), we may shred, erase, destroy, or otherwise modify the Personal Data, in whole or in part.

Personal Data shared with Third Parties may continue to be stored on their systems.

1.5 Security.

The secure storage of Personal Data is of great concern to us. HAWKERS exercises care in transmitting your information. Only individuals at HAWKERS or acting on HAWKERS’ behalf are authorised to have access to your Personal Data. Any of our staff who violates our privacy and/or security policies is subject to disciplinary action, including possible termination and civil and/or criminal prosecution.

We will take reasonable efforts to protect Personal Data in our storage, by implementing appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, alteration, disposal, or similar risks.

However, we cannot completely guarantee the security of any Personal Data we may have collected from or about you, given that our services depend on the usage of Websites, the use of digital services and the transmission of information via the internet, and these are susceptible to risk, including cyber-attacks, malware, and bugs.

Such information would be the categories of relevant Personal Data and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared such Personal Data for the immediately prior calendar year. If you wish to obtain this information, you may e-mail hello@hawkersco.com with “Request for Personal Data Information” in the subject line and in the body of your message. We will provide the requested information to you by reply to the e-mail address from which you sent the request. Not all information sharing is covered by this requirement, and only information on covered sharing will be included in our response. If you prefer to receive such information via regular first-class mail, please include such request in your email. We will not accept requests via telephone or facsimile, and we are not responsible for notices that are not labelled properly, delivered properly, or that do not have the complete information as here specified.
